ADRIÁN GALLARDO PRESENTS BENEFITS OF ENERGY REFORM TO UTM STUDENTS

 

The president of Fundación Colosio A.C., Adrian Gallardo Landeros, visited the Technological University of Matamoros to present to the university community the conference «Challenges, opportunities and perspectives of the Energy Reform» to move Mexico enacted by the President of the Republic, Enrique Peña Nieto.

On behalf of the university community, Rector José Antonio Tovar Lara welcomed Gallardo Landeros and the special guests to the conference, to whom he said that the Technological University of Matamoros is also working on projects and actions aligned with the energy agenda of the governor of Tamaulipas, Egidio Torre Cantú.

Among the guests were directors of higher and higher education institutions, including Ana Isabel Lerma González, Manlio Villar Martínez, Humberto Reyna Sáenz, Inés López de León, Ismael Colmenero Lucio, as well as representatives of civil society.

In his talk with the university students, Gallardo Landeros gave a broad explanation of the benefits that the energy reform will bring, which will allow Mexico to take advantage of its energy resources in a rational and sustainable manner and in accordance with the principles of national sovereignty, economic efficiency and social utility.

He mentioned that the energy reform will also allow a reduction in the payment of electricity bills, natural gas and some other services, regardless of the fact that 500,000 jobs will be generated during this six-year term.

In his talk with the students, Gallardo Landeros also spoke of the educational, tax, financial and telecommunications reforms that will make Mexico a more productive country.

At the end of the conference, the rector of the Technological University of Matamoros, accompanied by the directors of higher and higher education institutions, presented Gallardo Landeros with an award for the successful lecture given to the university community.
