A great party at UTMatamoros

Antojitos, music, traditional costumes and ranchera songs are part of what the students of the Technological University of Matamoros experience every year as they celebrate the traditional Mexican Fiesta to commemorate another anniversary of Mexican Independence.
The event took place on the university’s esplanade, where several colorfully decorated Mexican snack stands were set up offering a variety of foods such as grilled meat, steamed tacos, beef tostadas, beef tamales, as well as raspas, corn on the cob, esquites, nachos, Mexican sweets and aguas frescas.
Diana Masso Quintana, UTMatamoros Rector, was in charge of the inauguration of this great Mexican fiesta. She recognized the great effort and teamwork of the students in organizing this traditional celebration. This action fosters a special rooting for the most important values and symbols of Mexican society.
¡Viva México!
