7th National Spelling Bee
Last Thursday was held the 7th National Spelling Bee of Technological and Polytechnic Universities, with the participation of more than 23 students from different universities in the country, hosting a great event at the Universidad Tecnologica de Matamoros, with the distinguished presence of our Secretary of Education of Tamaulipas, Mrs. Lucia Aime Castillo Pastor.
The inauguration of this event was in charge of Mtra. Diana Masso Quintana, Rector of UTMatamoros, who welcomed the participants on behalf of the entire UTM community, wishing the best of success to each of the participants.
With this contest the students put into practice several skills: distinguishing the phonetics of the English language, training the pronunciation of each phoneme, training their mental agility in a foreign language.

The winning students received their awards from the hands of Mrs. Lucia Aimé Castillo Pastor, Secretary of Education of Tamaulipas, who was accompanied by our rector Mrs. Diana Masso Quintana, Saúl Gilberto Barajas, Director of Middle and Higher Education, Mr. Edgar Garza Hernández, Rector of UTReynosa.
