Matamoros to host the First Technological Innovation Forum

On April 6th and as a special guest UN «Dr. Clovis Freire Jr.».

With the dynamism that characterizes the Technological University of Matamoros, they are already preparing to host the First Technological Innovation Forum, next April 6, having as special guest «Dr. Clovis Freire Jr.» from the UN, as well as a group of excellent speakers in areas of education and development.

Dr. Ivett Bermea Vázquez, Rector of this university, announced that at this Forum, young people will have the opportunity to hear important presentations on technological education, sustainable development, as well as the latest advances in the different specialties.

She mentioned that this important event, to which everyone is cordially invited, will take place at the Gran Salón Cantera of the Holiday Inn in the south of the city, starting at 9:00 a.m. and will be free of charge.

Within the program of this Forum, in addition to the participation of Dr. Clovis Freire, will be Dr. Enrique Cruz Gómez, from the Tecnológico de Monterrey with the topic «Challenges of Technological Education in Mexico», the astronomer from UNAM, Dr. Alfredo Santillán González with the topic «Supercomputing and Technological Innovation», as well as the Northeast Director of Conacyt, Dr. Ricardo Miramontes Brown with the topic «Innovative Projects of Technological Impact».

During the afternoon there will be two working groups to listen to different specialist and master speakers, with the first group comprising participants from the Mechatronics, Maintenance and Petroleum careers, and the second group comprising those from Management and OCI.

«It is in the interest of our governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca to promote higher education and in particular the Technological Universities in the state, and this Technological Innovation Forum is part of the actions aimed towards this end,» said the UT Matamoros rector.
