16th National Robotics and STEM Skills Championship

A source of pride for our university community!

This afternoon, Diana Masso Quintana, chancellor of the Technological University of Matamoros, welcomed the talented robotics team that successfully represented us at the 16th National Robotics and STEM Skills Championship in Pachuca, Hidalgo.

UTMatamoros stood out by winning the Robots Skills 2025 category, demonstrating impressive skill in robot programming and control in highly complex tests. They were also named Champion of Champions, securing them a spot at the VEX Robotics World Championship 2025 in Dallas, Texas, next May.

Upon receiving the champions, Diana Masso Quintana stated:

“It is an honor for our university to see our students excel in such high-level events. Their dedication, teamwork, and passion for robotics are an example of what we can achieve when we commit to excellence. I wish them every success in their upcoming international competition.”

We deeply thank Dr. Américo Villarreal Anaya, Governor of the State of Tamaulipas, and Ms. Lucía Aimé Castillo Pastor, Secretary of Education of Tamaulipas, for their invaluable support of education and the promotion of science and technology in our region. Thanks to their backing, these achievements become a reality and continue to foster the talent of our students.

Congratulations to our champions!
