RECTOR’S WELCOME
The Technological University of Matamoros, created in 2001, has the objective of educating Higher University Technicians and Engineers, qualified to apply their knowledge in their places of employment, by incorporating scientific and technological advances in the creative and innovative solution of the problems of the work environment.
We offer an educational experience at the same level of the economic development that our region demands, with highly qualified teaching staff, facilities with a technological infrastructure that is strengthened with the connection with local companies by developing internships and work placements for young university students in different work areas for their incorporation into the labor market, taking into account the benefits provided by our geographical location of our municipality in its condition of border and coast, with the proximity of cities with growing energy development and automotive manufacturing cluster, electrical, electronic and many others.
We strictly follow the guidelines and regulations that govern the educational model of the country’s Technological Universities, strengthening our operation with the certifications of the Accreditation Council for Engineering Education (CACEI by its Spanish acronym) as well as the Accreditation Council for the Teaching of Accounting and Administration (CACECA by its Spanish acronym), and the ISO 9001 Certification. We also have alliances with educational and research institutions, nationally and abroad, which allow our students and teachers to broaden their knowledge and internationalize their training experience.
The Technological University of Matamoros was given the SEP-ANUT 2015 recognition, a mention awarded each year by the Ministry of Public Education and the National Association of Technological Universities to the best universities in the country for their excellent performance in their educational and administrative processes.
We are proud to serve the young people of our region, providing them with technological training of quality that will distinguish them in the competitive labor market of the Mexican Northeast and in particular of our beloved Tamaulipas.
