UTMatamoros students present at the “Girls in Stem Conference” at Puerto Isabel High School
This Friday, October 11, students from our University attended the 3rd annual “Girls in Stem” conference, which was attended by Kathryn Lueders, General Manager of Starbase, Space X, as the keynote speaker.
An event for high school and college girls studying subjects related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The conference was given by several female engineers, NASA specialists, who shared their experience in a predominantly male-dominated field of work.
More than 700 students from all over the South Texas Valley, Matamoros and Reynosa gathered to be inspired by these women.
