THE TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY OF MATAMOROS OFFERS «CHRISTMAS POSADA» TO CHILDREN IN RURAL COMMUNITIES

Approximately 300 students from the «Emiliano Zapata» elementary school in Ejido Las Rusias and «Guadalupe Victoria» elementary school in Ejido Guadalupe enjoyed a celebration offered by the Technological University of Matamoros for the upcoming arrival of Christmas.

The young students arrived at the Matamoros Technological University facilities at 9:30 a.m. to participate in the Christmas celebration offered by the institution’s rector, José Antonio Tovar Lara.

With great excitement, the elementary students of the aforementioned schools welcomed Santa Claus who arrived at the Christmas posada loaded with gifts that he distributed among the guests.

The honorees danced, sang and applauded with the songs presented by the members of a children’s show that featured characters such as Micky Mouse, Mimi, Hungry Birds, among others.

UTM staff, headed by the rector, personally attended to the little guests who received gifts, cake, juices and broke piñatas.

The celebration included a brief tour of the University facilities where they visited the buildings such as the Technological Information Center, the teaching modules, modern laboratories, among other areas.
