Fair of National Indigenous Languages
The fifth edition of the Fair of National Indigenous Languages will be held this year with the main theme of community linguistic planning. Organized by the National Institute of Indigenous Languages, it will be held in a mixed format (face-to-face and virtual).
The program includes academic activities (talks, thematic round tables or keynote lectures), artistic and cultural presentations, the presentation of cultural goods, products and services in indigenous languages and capsules on handcrafted products and traditional cuisine.
The Fair of National Indigenous Languages aims to showcase community language planning processes and present good institutional practices and language activism carried out by various institutions, collectives, community organizations and language academies, as part of the actions aimed at integrating Mexico’s Action Plan towards the International Decade of Indigenous Languages 2022-2032.
