Call for applications for the UNESCO/Japan Prize for Education for Sustainable Development.
UTMatamoros invites our entire university community to participate in the UNESCO-Japan Prize for Education for Sustainable Development.
UNESCO has opened the call for the UNESCO-Japan Prize for Education for Sustainable Development, funded by the Government of Japan, the Prize was launched in 2014 to reward exceptional projects and programs undertaken by institutions, organizations or other entities in the field of education for sustainable development (ESD) with the aim of mainstreaming and scaling up action at all levels of education and learning, and contributing to the implementation of ESD.
The award is given to three nominees who will receive a prize of US$50,000 each. In addition, the winners will be invited to join the ESD for 2030 Global Network (ESDNet), in order to establish a long-term collaboration with UNESCO beyond the prize.
Mexico can submit up to three nominations through the Mexican Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO.
